Welcome to the Lanner Digitale Brewery Challenge, where you will take on the role of a Microbrewery owner, who is looking to make improvements to their current processes in a bid to maximise revenue and throughput.
This challenge uses Lanner’s Predictive Digital Twin technology, enabling you to view the current state of the Lanner Digitale Brewery, as well as make upgrades to the process, providing insight into key business decisions.
You are the owner of a microbrewery which produces 2 types of beers, one made from Barley and the other, Wheat. Having secured £60,000 worth of investment, you now want to make improvements to maximise revenue and throughput.
To ensure you invest the £60,000 in the most efficient way, you turn to Lanner and our Predictive Digital Twin technology to test and validate the improvements you want to make, saving you time and money, while ensuring success.
Using the Baseline Model you can see how your Brewery is currently running. Some parts of the brewing process are working well, while others are causing bottlenecks and other issues. You should use experimentation and the charts available to inform your decision of which improvements to purchase.
Each part of the brewing process has potential upgrades available, it is up to you to decide how you want to spend your £60,000, to achieve the most revenue.
Once you have made your upgrades to the Digitale Brewery, you can then submit your scenario and discover the impact your changes have had.
All revenue scores will enter our Leader board, see how your score ranks amongst the other players and if you want to try and beat your score, you can try again, just like you would with your own Digital Twin!
Happy Brewing!
When you open a scenario of your brewery, you will see each stage of the brewing process, and associated data, similar to the image below.
Each process can be upgraded and improved. To make these upgrades, click on the Spanner Icon, which will cause a dialogue box to appear with the relevant improvements and the associated costs.
To make an upgrade, click on the button next to the action you want to apply to your brewery. To confirm the upgrade, click ‘Save’.
Every improvement you make will then show up in the left-hand toolbar, along with a summary of how much you have spent, and how much money you have remaining.
When you're happy with the improvements you have made, simply click the 'Submit Scenario' button.
This will submit the scenario for testing and take you back to your dashboard.
TODO insert pic of the main page with leaderboard etc
You will then be able to view your results, and if you wish to improve on your revenue score, reload the scenario and make new upgrades and improvements, before resubmitting your scenario again.
